I received my MS in Computer Science from Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science (MSCS) department of Marquette University (WI). I was a member of Ubicomp Lab and my supervisor was Dr. Sheikh Iqbal Ahamed. I joined Purdue Universityin 2007 for pursuing dual degree: PhD in Computer Science and MS in Statistics. I received the prestigious ‘Ross Fellowship Award for Outstanding PhD Student’ award. I got two legendary figures of Computer Security as my initial supervisors: Dr. Eugene Spafford and Dr. Elisa Bertino. But unfortunately i had to leave Purdue and go back to Bangladesh for family reasons.
My PhD dissertation topic introduces e-ESAS, the very first mobile phone based palliative care treatment for rural cancer patients in Bangladesh. This work has received the ‘Best Paper Honorable Mention Award’ in CHI 2012 and nominated in the 1st round of ‘Grand Challenge Canada: Rising Stars of Global Health‘ award
My research interest includes m-health, HCI, and pervasive security.
